We saw this astonishing scene in Ramalley Copse in Chandler’s Ford this afternoon.
This tree (possibly a birch or ash) had fallen, but it was caught by another tree, so the fallen tree is now being supported by another tree, forming an arch.
This could be a dangerous situation.
Collin, our neighbours’ 18-month-old Rough Collie, inspected Ramalley Copse this afternoon. Collin found Ramalley Copse has now been turned into a lake. Collin enjoyed wading through the water of about 30cm deep and swimming. Collin also had a great time playing with Joe.
In Flexford Wood, Monks Brook was running fast, but it hadn’t burst the bank.
These are some images I took today: Ramalley ‘lake’ and the fallen tree that was caught.

That settles it. Ben will be walked round Hiltingbury lakes and the rec today. Three more trees down at the lakes yesterday.
