Enchanting Hursley Post Office

June 26, 2013 By Janet Williams 1 Comment

I saw this advert in the Hursley Fete pamphlet last week and I was quite mesmerised.

Hursley Post Office opens 7 days a week and its services include: national lottery, dry cleaning, ice cream, deliver newspapers & magazines, locally produced eggs, bread, milk & cakes, pre-ordered foreign currency, euros on demand, greeting cards and stationery.

Hursley Post Office: from stamps to dry cleaning

The new owner of the post office is Bhagwant. Bhagwant lives in Chandler’s Ford and he has run this post office for about 8 months only.

Hursley post offices, near Winchester, sells egg, lottery, stamps, and do dry cleaning. It opens 7 days a week.
Endearing Hursley Post Office

While many little post offices across the country are being closed, a village post office like Hursley Post Office is certainly precious.

What’s it like running a village shop like this in Hursley? Bhagwant told me he’s happy. Hursley is a lovely village and the locals are very kind and friendly.
