Hampshire Constabulary: Appeal for Information after Chandler’s Ford and Hedge End Burglaries

Police witness appeal:

Houses were targeted during the day and early evening when people were out.

Entry was gained by smashing patio windows and various items of jewellery and cash were stolen.

The dates and locations are as follows:

  • 15 November – Octavia Gardens, Chandler’s Ford
  • 15 November – Balmoral Close, Chandler’s Ford
  • 15 November – Beattie Rise, Hedge End
  • 15 November – Upper Northam Close, Hedge End
  • 14 November – Stourvale Gardens, Chandler’s Ford
  • 14 November – Westfield Road, Chandler’s Ford
  • 9 November – Colvin Gardens, Chandler’s Ford (burglaries at two addresses)
  • 7 November – Upper Northam Road, Hedge End

If you have seen any suspicious people or vehicles in these areas, or have any other information about these burglaries, please call 101 quoting 441 7040 2100. Alternatively you can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

You may see dedicated patrols in these areas. We will be providing crime prevention advice and you should speak to officers if you have concerns.

Update: 20th November 2017:

According to Hampshire Constabulary, two people have been arrested in connection with a number of burglaries in Chandler’s Ford in recent weeks.

A 32-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman, both from Eastleigh, have been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit burglary.

The man remains in custody at this time and the woman has been released under investigation.
