Community Centres

Chandler’s Ford Community Association

Chandler’s Ford Community Association (Trustees Ritchie Memorial Hall) provides a focal point for the interest and abilities of the neighbourhood.

Velmore Community Centre

Velmore Community Centre is a community centre based in Chandler’s Ford. Cherry Tree Café and Velmore Church are within the centre.

Valley Park Community Centre

Valley Park Community Centre is run by the Valley Park Community Association (VPCA): Run by the community, for the community.

Age Concern Centre

Age Concern Centre is based on 7 Brownhill Road, Chandler’s Ford SO53 2EB.

The Hilt

Hiltingbury Community Centre: putting the heart back into Hiltingbury.

Thornden Hall

Thornden Hall is a multipurpose venue with high quality acoustics for music performances.

The Dovetail Cafe

The Dovetail Cafe in the Dovetail Centre at Chandler’s Ford Methodist Church is open to everyone.

Drama Groups

Chandler’s Ford Chameleon Theatre Company

Chameleon Theatre Company has been presenting plays to the people of Chandler’s Ford since 1965.

Centrestage Productions Youth Theatre

Centrestage Production Youth Theatre is an award winning Youth Theatre based in Chandler’s Ford.

MDG Players

MDG Players is an amateur dramatics group based at the Methodist Church in Chandler’s Ford.

Support Groups

Chandler’s Ford Street Pastors

Chandler’s Ford Street Pastors was formed on 2nd July 2010. Every Friday night, volunteers from the local churches hit the streets of Chandler’s Ford to talk to young people and help them.

Chandler’s Ford Good Neighbours

Chandler’s Ford Good Neighbours help people in our local community with the kinds of essential tasks that a good neighbour might do. Volunteers help residents throughout the SO53 postcode area.

Eastleigh Good Neighbours

Eastleigh Good Neighbours help residents of central Eastleigh. Helps include hospital or other medical appointments, visiting (family or friends in hospital, lunch clubs, etc), shopping, hair appointments, Post Office, and light gardening.

One Community

One Community is the Council of Voluntary Service (CVS) for the Eastleigh area, providing voluntary sector support, community development, day care, information and transport services in the borough of Eastleigh and beyond.

Chandler’s Ford & Eastleigh Community First Responders

Chandler’s Ford & Eastleigh Community First Responders are trained by the ambulance service. They help in our community by responding to medical emergencies before the arrival of an emergency ambulance.

Community

Chandlers Ford u3a

Chandlers Ford u3a provides the ideal environment for those no longer in full-time employment to make new friends, learn something new and have the opportunity to get out and about or share their understanding and experiences. We meet at 2pm in the Methodist Church on the 3rd Monday of the month, this can be impacted by public holidays. Our various interest groups’ meetings vary as do the venues.

Chandler’s Ford District Scouts

Chandler’s Ford District Scouts came into being on the 1st of March 1984. It was previously part of Eastleigh District.

Rotary Club of Chandler’s Ford & Itchen Valley

Rotary Club of Chandler’s Ford & Itchen Valley meet on Mondays at 7.30pm at The Potters Heron Hotel, Romsey Road. (No meeting on 5th Monday or on Bank Holidays.)

Lions Club of Eastleigh

Lions Club of Eastleigh responds to the needs of the local community, whether this is in the form of financial assistance, hands-on involvement or organisational skills.

Chandler’s Ford Men’s Shed

Hocombe Mead is an area of historic woodland and meadow, situated between Ashdown Road and Hocombe Road, under the ownership of Eastleigh Borough Council. You’re welcome to join Friends of Hocombe Mead.
