I was surprised to receive a leaflet from Goadsby estate agents about Eastleigh Basics Bank.
Now Goadsby in Eastleigh and Chandler’s Ford have both set up donation stations in their branches for Eastleigh Basics Bank.
You can bring your donations to Goadsby to support the basics bank. The Goadsby Eastleigh branch is on Market Street, and the Chandler’s Ford branch is on Winchester Road.

You can also bring your donations to many local churches. Hazel Bateman from Chandler’s Ford collects food donations from St. Boniface church and St. Martin in the Wood church every week and transport them to Eastleigh Basics Bank.
Goadsby’s Chandler’s Ford branch manager Martin Lill told me that Goadsby have produced 5,000 leaflets, which have been dropped throughout the area.

The response in Chandler’s Ford has been fantastic. Martin said the Chandler’s Ford branch has already filled the box once within a week. “We are well on the way to filling the second box.”
Yesterday afternoon, I popped in to Goadsby on Winchester Road to check it out. A donation box is placed to the right at the entrance. Local people have been generous. We have helped to feed a neighbour in need.
