Everything Flowers (Love Flowers) From The Central Precinct

May 14, 2013 By Janet Williams 10 Comments

(Note: The florist in this post has closed its Chandler’s Ford shop in August 2013.)

In the Central Precinct of Chandler’s Ford, there’s a lovely florist with the sign of Everything Flowers, but its new business name is actually Love Flowers of Chandler’s Ford.

This florist has been in the Central Precinct for over 30 years. Older residents would recall that this florist used to be called Adies.

From Adies to Everything Flowers to Love Flowers, though the florist’s names and owners have changed over the years, what remains unchanged is its high quality flowers and its uniquely personal service.

I visited the florist yesterday. I spoke to the manager, Dawn, and her new trainee, Irena. Irena is a Polish lady working for an investment company. However, as she loves flowers, she has taken up a 2 year floristry course at Eastleigh College. Irena is currently doing her job placement with Dawn.

The flower business is highly competitive. I asked Dawn how she manages in Chandler’s Ford.

Dawn is honest that business hasn’t been easy.  A lot of people buy flowers online or from the supermarkets. However, Dawn still keeps some very loyal customers, including local corporate businesses around the precinct.

Trainee Irena arranged this beautiful bouquet.

Dawn has a few local suppliers. Dawn explained that when we buy flowers directly from the florist, we’re directly supporting many local businesses too.

Dawn said, “We pride ourselves on the quality of our flowers. We give a very personal service to our customers. Every flower is different, and all flowers have their personality. ”

On entering the shop, I saw a beautiful, heart-warming message on the board:

“Happiness is a perfume. You cannot pour on others without getting a few drops yourself.”

This sweet message perfectly summarises the spirit of Dawn and her business. With flowers, we spread happiness. Inside this florist, you can quickly sense that there’s a special connection with Dawn, flowers and her customers.

Happiness at Love Flowers

Next time, when you think of buying fresh, unique flowers with a personality, do remember to pop in to this sweet, charming florist in the central precinct. Dawn will always welcome you with a happy smile.

Of course, if you choose to buy flowers online, you could also support the online store of Love Flowers on E-Street Ltd. The owner of this florist also runs two other florists in the area, one in Woolston and one in East Street, Southampton.
