Eastleigh Police: Crime Prevention – Purse theft

Today Eastleigh Police asked people to be vigilant in Chandler’s Ford area.

Keep your belongings with you.

Crime Prevention: Purse theft.

“You may be aware that there have recently been thefts of purses in this area. The purpose of this newsletter is not to frighten you but to raise your awareness and ask you to be extra vigilant.”

Advice from the police

  • Keep your handbag with you at all times – do not leave your handbag in your trolley.
  • Making sure your handbag is closed securely.
  • Do not keep PIN numbers or other memorable data written down with your bank cards.

Report suspicious activity to the police on 101, or anonymously via the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
