Christmas in Chandler’s Ford 2017

December 24, 2017 By Janet Williams Leave a Comment

This morning I attended the church service at the Chandler’s Ford Methodist Church.

The service was led by Rev Dr Howard Mellor. He is a great speaker and his speech was full of humour. He started off showing a blue and white t-shirt representing Huddersfield Town, as he told us he watched the match yesterday and he showed his support for the blue and white team!

I don’t know anything about football, but his introduction using football seemed very well received.

The message is that whatever team you support, the blue and white, or the red and white, you could still embrace the differences of one another and celebrate Christmas together.

What’s your Christmas tradition? Do you do anything special with the family?

This evening I’ll be heading for the Baptist Church in Eastleigh. My friends told me they’ll be singing in the choir there for the first time and asked me to go there and watch. Why not? It would be great for me to find out more about another local church.

Have a great Christmas and I wish you all a peaceful, blessed Christmas.
