Myositis Support UK

Myositis UK is the only registered charity (UK) charity specific for the inflammatory myopathies, Dermatomyositis, Polymyositis, Inclusion Body Myositis, and Juvenile Dermatomyositis.

Myositis UK was set up by Les and Irene Oakley. You can support the charity by buying second-hand books outside Mens World Hairdressing at the Central Precinct of Chandler’s Ford.

Metabolic Support UK (formerly known as Climb)

Metabolic Support UK: Children Living with Inherited Metabolic Diseases.

It is a national organisation working on behalf of children, young people, adults and families affected by metabolic disease. The National Information Centre for Metabolic Diseases is part of the Climb Group.

Mrs Caroline Husain from Chandler’s Ford has been fundraising for the charity since 1984.

Piam Brown Ward

Piam Brown Ward is the Regional Paediatric Oncology and Haematology Unit for Wessex, based on the top floor of Southampton General Hospital.

The ward caters for children from only one day to 16 years old.
