Chandler’s Ford St George’s Day Parade 28th April 2019

April 29, 2019 By SO53 News Leave a Comment

The annual St George’s Day parade took place yesterday in Chandler’s Ford. We have brilliant images from the parade yesterday (28th April 2019) in Chandler’s Ford. These photographs were taken by Richard Doyle. Thank you, Richard.

What a beautiful day it was. Well done once again for the Scouts and The Spitfires, and the churches in Chandler’s Ford for their support. Well done on the great organisation by the St George’s Day Parade Committee, especially with the help from volunteer marshals who ensured that road closures were implemented safely and effectively.

As usual, the parade from Merdon School along Winchester Road to the Methodist Church and back attracted a large crowd of proud parents and interested bystanders. It’s the event in the year which shows the community what it means to be involved in Scouting in Chandler’s Ford.
