The Celebrating Good Neighbours Young and Old Awards by the Hampshire County Council is now open for nomination.
Do you know someone who makes a difference to you or your community?
Why not nominating them for an award?
Hampshire County Council’s Celebrating Good Neighbours Young and Old Awards recognise and reward volunteers and neighbours who support others in their communities.
This year, Hampshire Council is especially keen to ensure that the awards celebrate the contribution of both young and older people. The awards give you the opportunity to pay tribute to a person or a group who has demonstrated exceptional and outstanding achievements within their local community during 2013.
Perhaps you know a neighbour or volunteer(s), of any age, who gave that extra bit of help to you to make your life easier, or who makes your community a better place in which to live. In fact, any regular act of kindness for someone else could qualify.
The closing date for nominations is Monday 20 January 2014.
The winners and those who nominated them will be invited to a special ceremony in the Great Hall, Winchester, on 20 March 2014. Please remember that individuals and groups cannot be nominated more than once for an award and this award is not open to residents of Portsmouth and Southampton.
